Ephesians 6:13
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand.
Everyday we enter into battle with spiritual warfare. We can’t afford to jump out of the bed and go to work naked. Have you ever had that dream where you are out in public with nothing on but your underwear? Psychologists would say that is your anxiety over not being prepared. What we as believers need to do is make sure we are prepared to stand our ground against spiritual wickedness by putting on the full armor of God so we won’t be naked. Paul says that our fight is not against people but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms and after we have put on the full armor of God we have to stand our ground. You don’t stand your ground by being argumentative or revengeful. That would be casting your pearls amongst swine. Neither do you argue with religious people but you let the light shine off your armor and your shield deflect the hits.
This is what your need to put on today: Ephesians 6:14-17
1. The Belt of Truth. Don’t walk around looking like a fool with your pants on the ground. You know what happens when you don’t have your belt on? You show your butt. The truth will keep you covered and keep you from making a fool of yourself.
2. The breastplate of Right living. Your breastplate covers all your vital organs. When you live right it protects what’s vital. Your heart is safe because you are living right.
3. Your feet fitted with the preparation of the gospel. Just do it! It’s important to do the word and not just read the word.
4. The Shield of faith. The enemy is going to try to shoot you with flaming arrows but your faith will diffuse and catch whatever he throws at you. What your enemy throws at you will not penetrate so long as you have your shield of faith.
5. The helmet of salvation. When you know you are saved, then you know that ultimately you are covered. You don’t walk around anxious because your head is protected eternally. What can man do to you when God has you covered?
6. The Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Hebrews 4:12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
7. Pray with all kinds of prayers without ceasing. Prayer is the key and faith unlocks the door.
Dear God, help me to stand for righteousness. Keep us covered today and help me to be victorious. No weapon formed against me will prosper. I will be productive today because I know you got me covered. If you are with me can’t nobody be against me! I feel it today. Let’s go get ‘em God!
In Jesus Name,
Amen
