2 Corinthians 4:14
Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.
Our faith is built on the fact that Jesus died for our sins and God raised him from the dead. If there was no resurrection we are still condemned by our sinfulness but we who are in relationship with the Living Christ know full well that there is a Resurrection.
This Holy Week is a reminder that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, and was buried but on the third day he rose again with all power in his hands. The Good News is that we were raised with him. When Jesus died our old nature died, our sins were nailed to the cross. Based on some of the painful experiences we’ve been thorough many of us died emotionally. Some of our near death experiences left us lifeless and in fear of living again. Some of us are in need of a Resurrection right now! Our hopes have died, our marriage has flat lined, our jobs were terminated, our dreams aborted, our relationships ended, and we lost ourselves in the process. The good news after death is that through Jesus there is a Resurrection!
This coming Sunday you should come to church to experience the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ. When we know that God raised Jesus from the dead we also know he will raise us. Knowing that Jesus has risen and he will raise us we should remember that:
1.Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16
New International Version (NIV)
2. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
2 Corinthians 4:17
New International Version (NIV)
3. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
New International Version (NIV)
Dear God,
I’m ready for a Resurrection. I’m excited about what you’re getting ready to do in our lives. What we thought had died is getting ready to be Resurrection, New and Improved! Thank you Jesus for getting up, Now I can get up! Let the Resurrection begin.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
